Google has released an update to its famous Android Auto application adapted for the car, among which the possibility of being able to use its application wirelessly stands out, although a series of requirements are required:

The first requirement is to have a compatible smartphone. At the moment, wireless Android Auto only works with Google Pixel, Nexus 5X or 6P mobiles and Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 +, S9 and S9 +, S10 and S10 +, Note 8, Note 9, Note 10 with Android version 10 or higher.

It is also necessary to update to version 4.7 or higher of Android Auto
In the event that you meet all the requirements, you can proceed to connect the phone by pairing it with the multimedia unit. First of all, you have to make sure that the mobile data connection is activated, the configuration should never be done while driving.

The first time you connect the phone to the car, make sure that the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi function is activated on the phone. Start the vehicle making sure it is in neutral and braking and follow these steps:

1. Unlock the phone screen.
2. Pair the phone with the car media unit via Bluetooth.
3. Your phone may be prompted to download or update certain applications, such as Google Maps. Confirm the download.
4. Check the security information and Android Auto’s permissions to access its applications.
5. Activate Android Auto notifications. For the best possible experience, we recommend that you accept all the options.
6. On your media device screen, select Android Auto. Wireless connection may take a few seconds to work, once detected you can enjoy all the features of Android Auto in your vehicle WITHOUT CABLES.
